Frida Kahlo Centennial Medal (2001)

This medal pays tribute to Frida Kahlo, the Mexican painter born in Coyoacán on July 6, 1907, one of the most recognized artists in the world. Her work, marked by physical suffering, identity and the indigenous roots of Mexico, made her a universal icon of the national culture.
