What it is

1. Weigh it. It must be very close to 15.55 grams on a jewelry scale. Fakes are often light or use the wrong alloy.
2. Measure the diameter. It should be 29 mm with calipers.
3. Inspect the finish. A genuine Proof has clean mirror fields and sharply frosted devices. Flat relief, dull surfaces, or uneven color are red flags.
